Cement mortar does not allow the natural passage of water from walls into the atmosphere through the mortar joints and instead forces the water to take a path through the brick or stones of the wall. This causes damages to the bricks and stones over time and the effects can be seen everywhere.
At Yorkshire Lime & Clay we provide services to remove the incorrect cement-based mortar and replace it with lime mortar. This allows your walls to breathe again and will stop any more damage from occurring.
We also provide repointing services to freshen up any tired lime pointing on your building.
